Love That Teaching Idea!
Staff When your seating arrangement is in groups, let your students choose a team name for their group. Names can range anywhere from, "The Battin' Brain-iacs" to "The All-Stars". Then have your students create a team banner or penant that they all work on together. Hang high above their desks from the ceiling. They will sense more of team responsibility and you have a group name to call them when it's time to dismiss or whether you need a hand with something. Go, team, go! This idea goes very well with a "Sports Theme" in your classroom. |
