Have
students find right, obtuse and acute angles with either a paper
or plastic protractor. Ask students to divide a sheet of paper
into 3 sections, labeling each one as "right", "obtuse"
and "acute." With their papers and protractors in hand,
let them go! Students can find angles in the classroom, while
they are out on the playground, and then even add to their lists
at home. Students will find angles everywhere! I even had a student
bend his knee and say, "Hey look! I found an acute angle
right here at the back of my knee!" Now that's the idea!
