Love That Teaching Idea! Staff Download the free Christmas light reproducible and make numerous copies. Encourage students to take a light and fill out the positive things they see others doing. They can draw or write about it on the light. For instance, if "Tommy" saw "Sylvia" helping someone who had fallen at recess, then he might pick up a Christmas light and write, "Sylvia's light really shined by lifting a 2nd grader up after she had fallen off the jungle gym." Then fold the tab over a piece of yarn that is strung across your room and tape (fold along the dashed line). Soon enough, you'll have a string of bright lights! An
extension of this idea would be for you as the teacher to notice
special things the kids are doing, and write your own comments.
This will take some extra time on your part, but just think how
