This
is an excellent way to spark the interests of students and it uses the intertextuality
of film and literature. Print out pictures of the covers of DVDs or video tapes
of movies based upon Shakespeare's plays or spin-offs based on Shakespeare's plays
and glue to card stock or construction paper. Type out one each of the names of
the plays (I used Old English font) (I had about twenty) This sparks students'
interest in the Bard and evokes discussion. I did this for an English methods
class and it sparked the interests of Spanish students.
