Using
an empty soup, vegetable, or cat food or dog food can, paint with a spray paint.
I found that ivory seems to be a great color as a base. Using sponges: square
for a checher board edge at the top and bottom in green, and an apple shape in
red in the middle in red (can put about three) the students make a cute decorated
can for their dad. I have the students bring in a zip lock bag of their dad's
favorite snack. We place this in tissue paper in the can. With older students
you can add a wire handle with a ribbon of raffi.
Then
they can make a card about being the apple of their dad's eye.
