Color
and cut out (or buy from a store) a picture of a large turkey.
Do not include the feathers on the turkey. Challenge your students
to see how many books they can read during the month of November.
Have a pile of pre-cut construction paper "feathers"
in your room. When a student finishes reading a book, have them
write down the title of that book on their feather and tape it
up to the turkey. You can even have your students estimate how
many feathers they think the turkey will have by the end of the
month! Make it a class goal to work towards together!
