While
studying multiplication tables, have your students write facts
on flash cards and post them EVERYWHERE around the classroom!
Put them on windows, on the flag pole, on the pencil sharpener
you
name it, PLACE it! Be sure the answers show on the front as well!
Then encourage your students each time they go somewhere in the
classroom and they see a multiplication fact, that they recite
that fact in their minds, along with the answer. This really proves
to be beneficial in the long-run! You can even say to them, "Before
you are dismissed to recess, I want you to look around the classroom
and recite 3 different facts in your mind." This also works
well with addition, subtraction, or division. It doesn't matter
what you study, keep it all around them!
