Have
your students collect petals and leaves from small flowers. Then
insert them between two sheets of paper, placing a book on top
to dry out over a week or so. Once dry, place these segments of
nature on top of a heavier paper, such as cardstock. Then take
a single ply of white tissue paper and place on top of the petals
and leaves. Then stir together a mixture of 1 part white glue
to 1 part water. With a paintbrush, dab this mixture on top of
the tissue paper. Allow to dry. These make beautiful bookmarks
or note cards for your students to give away as gifts.
