The Adventures of Dilford the Dragon

I have a stuffed dragon that I keep in my classroom along with a spiral notebook. Each weekend the dragon and notebook goes home with a different student. Then they record all the things they did that weekend with the dragon. If they went to a restaurant, they can even tape their napkin inside the notebook! The notebook stays in our reading center during the week where my students really enjoy reading, "The Adventures of Dilford the Dragon!"
