After
a unit on fables and morals, I divide my class into small groups
to create their own puppet shows. My older students really enjoy
making their own marionettes. (A book from the library or information
on the internet are great resources.) Younger students can create
puppets using popsicle sticks or socks. Each group then writes
their own puppet show fable, making sure there is a moral at the
end of the story. We then present our puppet shows to the younger
grade classrooms in the school.
