Allow
for some creativity outside of your regular science core with
this ongoing activity. Ask for 2 volunteers every 2 weeks to be
a part of the Mad Scientist Club. These students come up with
a science experiment that they want to perform for the class.
They will love to look through books of science experiments designed
especially for kids, try it at home with parents, and then do
it for the class! Have the students wear white lab coats and goggles
to give them the feel of being a true scientist! Follow up by
commending the students on their experiment (whether it worked
or it didn't!) by giving them a certificate that claims they are
now an "Official Member of the Mad Scientist Club!"
