Love That Teaching Idea!
Staff At Valentine's time, I bring a big bag of conversation hearts to my classroom. I evenly distribute them to my students. Their assignment is to incorporate the words on the conversation heart candy into a story. They dab a little white glue on the back of the hearts to attach to their stories where the words fit into the sentences. Sometimes I will do this same activity with the weekly spelling words as well. Of course I always have an extra bag on candy on hand to pass out and eat afterwards! |
