During
writing time, I always have a lot of things going on at one time.
I have some students who are publishing, while others are editing,
and so forth. To help me view at a quick glance what my different
students are working on, I made a large poster that has the different
steps of the writing process. My list includes:
1 - Webbing
2 - Rough Draft
3 - Editing
4 - Rewriting
5 - Publishing
I then have written each student's names on clothespins. When
my students are on a certain step with their writing, they quietly
go over to the poster and clip their clothespin on the side where
they are.
