An activity I observed one of my student teachers doing led to a great discussion in a class meeting. She read the book, Some Things Are Scary by Florence Parry Heide. She then had everyone take turns and share something that was scary for him or her. She first modeled this by sharing with her class something that was scary for her. It was an excellent discussion for her class meeting!
