After
studying about the seasons, divide your students into 4 different
groups. Give each group a large poster board and assign them a
season. Each group is to then brainstorm all of the different
activities they might do during each season. They should also
think about what kind of clothes they wear during those seasons.
Pass out old magazines and catalogs for them to cut out pictures
that remind them of "their" season. Glue the pictures
onto the poster. Also encourage them to write words about that
season. Have them draw their own pictures that go with that season.
Once they are all finished, tape each poster edge to the next
one using duck tape. Be sure to add a cover to this as well. This
makes a fun book to add to your reading center because it will
stand up on its own as the children read it. And it folds back
up so easily!
