Don't
throw away those broken crayons! Remove the wrappers from each
one. Have your students break up the crayons. Put them into glass
baby food jars, sorting the colors. Place the jars on an electric
frying pan filled with water. Heat the water until the crayons
are melted. Pour the melted wax into a plastic candy or soap mold
tray. The wax will harden quickly and pop out of the mold easily!
I've made "dinosaur" crayons from dinosaur molds and
the kids thought they were cooler then the ones in the box!
