After
my students learn an easy, predictable story that we have done
in class, I like to send home copies of the book with my students
to read at home. I attach a note that asks the parents' help in
finding 3 individuals to listen to them "read" their
stories. These "3" special people might include a parent,
a sibling, or even a stuffed animal! Students feel successful
reading aloud and will continue to be motivated in reading more
and more stories to their biggest fans!
