Love That Teaching Idea! Staff Here's an idea to helf raise money for the relief efforts in New York, Pennsylvania and Washington DC. Have your students coordinate a school-wide fund-raising project with this idea. Decorate collection jars and post one in each classroom. Decorate with a patriotic theme. Encourage every student in the school to earn $1 at home and then donate it to the cause. When they have donated $1, they should trace an outline of their hand on red, white, or blue construction paper. Cut out. Then tape it up in a central location of the school into the shape of an American flag.
