VCR Freeze!

Use the signals on your VCR to manage your class! After teaching primary and moving to a grade 5 class I was reluctant to call freeze so I called "pause" and we practiced what happens on the screen when you press pause on your remote. Then you can pretend you are pressing your remote and call out ie. volume control--minimal or volume control mute --- volume control increase +2, reverse is always fun then you're probably going to have to call pause again! Don't forget to call play or they will stay paused forever! It works like a charm, especially if you compliment the best pausers!
