motivate students to write, I instructed my fourth grade students to venture into
the future and write about their life as it is after they grow up and begin a
career. The students dress up as the character they have become and return to
the classroom for a make believe fourth grade class reunion. They share their
stories individually as they enjoy snacks together. The students bring in the
snacks to share. This was such a fun day. It was great to hear what the students
wish to do with their lives in the future. I advised the students to keep a copy
of their writing and place it in a time capsule to be opened when they are all
grown up. |
