ABC Order Game

I wrote the alphabet onto index cards, one letter to each card. I shuffled them as you would a regular deck of cards and gave half to each child turned printed-side down. They had to flip the cards over at the same time, and whoever had the letter that came first in the alphabet kept both cards. Whoever had the most cards at the end of the game won. (For my first grader, I let him write out the alphabet on a sheet of paper to use during the game.)
