In
addition, or another version of "Make no bones about it":
I bought a door poster/decoration from party city of a shiny black
& silver skeleton. In Interactive Writing, we co-created labels
of body parts and posted them on our door poster. The title reads:
"No Bones About it! Room 31 Knows Their Parts!"
I've
been advised always to add some element of writing to art to prove
it's integrated into literacy curriculum & teaching point. Our
focus was NF/Expository for Reader's Workshop and this was an extension
into Interactive Writing focus on labeling pictures to help readers
better understand info presented in a text.
