Class Job - Monitor

One of my classroom jobs for my students is the "Monitor." All of the children want this job each week because it's the closest they can get to being the teacher!

The Monitor uses the teacher's edition of the books we use in class to check the homework or classwork. He or she gets to sit on the stool in front of the class and place the book on the podium. The Monitor can either call on fellow classmates for answers or can call out answers by himself. He always asks for repeats before finishing.

I love the job because I can circulate the room and check for pages that were not finished or done sloppily or I can use the stamper and give a little boost to those students who completed the work well.
